Notes: The women’s caucus in the Albanian parliament was first established in 1995 and was renewed in 2008 with the support of the OSCE Presence in Albania. The caucus contributed to the passing of the 2008 Gender Equality Law and the inclusion of a gender quota in the Electoral Code, which stipulates that for each electoral zone, at least thirty per cent of the parties’ lists should contain names of both men and women.
