The Verkhovna Rada directly appoints (elects) persons to the following positions:
Prime Minister of Ukraine, Ministers of Ukraine, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (at the request of the President), Head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Council of the National Bank of Ukraine (half of the members), Human Rights Commissioner and the of the Verkhovna Rada, Secretary General of the Verkhovna Rada, the Central Election Commission, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (one-third of the members), the Chairperson and other members of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, the Higher Council of Justice (two members), the Chairperson of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting (one-half of the members), Chairperson of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, Chairperson of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Supervisory Board of the State Savings Bank of Ukraine (five members), Supervisory Board of the State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine (five members).

The Verkhovna Rada consents to the appointment of the Prosecutor General.
