However, Article 10a, Chapter 2 of the “Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies” approved by the VNA stipulates that “the number of National Assembly female deputies will be projected by the National Assembly Standing Committee in accordance with recommendation by the Delegation of Central Executive Committee of Viet Nam Women’s Union to guarantee that women have appropriate numbers of representatives in the National Assembly”.
