The caucus conducts consultations with political parties, women's organizations, civil society, and the Executive on the advantages of establishing a quota system in the context of legislative elections.

The caucus develops an annual plan of activities to promote greater involvement of women in development and good governance in Burkina Faso.

Issues dealt with by the caucus
-Responsible for promoting the equitable involvement of women and men in the life of Parliament and in the political life of Burkina Faso
-Adoption of the Quota Law in 2009
-Inclusion of the principle of gender equality in the Constitution (2012)
-Adoption of the Law on Violence against Women (2015)
