The term of the Speaker is different from the term of the house
The term of the Speaker may be different from the term of the House (legislature).
Fixed election date for the Speaker, if any
Speakers in several parliaments are elected on a fixed date in accordance with the Constitution.
1 October (at the beginning of each session (1 October). However, the summer session will be convened in late May in the year when the elections are held in Spring. The first session after the general elections lasts from late May to 30 September.
