About the election
Short description of the context and results of the election.
Two parties in the coalition government – the Patriotic Union (VU) led by Mr. Daniel Risch, and the Progressive Citizens' Party (FBP) led by Ms. Sabine Monauni – won 10 seats each in the 25-member Diet. Given that the VU had received more votes than the FBP, Mr. Risch became the Prime Minister and Ms. Monauni the Deputy Prime Minister. Three of the five new government members are women.
