Article 129 of the Constitution:

The President has twenty-one days to either sign and promulgate a law adopted by the National Assembly or apply to the Constitutional Court for the purpose of determining the compliance of the law with the Constitution. In case the Constitutional Court decides that the law complies with the Constitution, the President must give assent. If the President fails to do so within the given time period, the Chairperson of the National Assembly shall sign and promulgate the law within a period of five days.
