Women's suffrage

Notes

Voting is compulsory for Ecuadorians between 18 and 65 years of age. Those who do not turn out to vote may be stripped of their civil rights. Voting is optional for persons between 16 and 18 years of age or over 65, persons who live abroad, members of the Armed Forces and National Police Force, and persons with disabilities. C.f. Constitution, art. 62.
