Notes:

The National Assembly, established in 1994, was set up for an interim period of four years, pending the adoption of a constitution and the holding of elections. It comprised 150 members.

The National Assembly ratified the Constitution in 1997. It was supposed to enter into force after National Assembly elections, scheduled for 1997. However, the elections were postponed indefinitely. The National Assembly has not met since February 2002.
