Minimum age of eligibility
The minimum age to become a member of parliament, or to run in parliamentary elections, may be different for each chamber in bicameral parliaments. The age of eligibility is sometimes higher than the minimum age for voting.

Notes: The law that lowered the minimum eligibility age to run for the National Assembly from 25 to 18 was passed by the National Assembly on 31 December 2021. It came into effect on 1 April 2022. The new eligibility age was first applied to the 2024 general election.
