Notes: 1920: The first ever woman in the Parliament of Lithuania was appointed; the first elected women were in 1990, 14 women out of 173 Parliament members; it should be noted that these women were voted into the Soviet Supreme of the SSR Lithuania, which became the first legislature of Lithuania after the restoration of the country's independence on 6 September 1991
