About the election

Primo! Monaco as Priority (Priorité Monaco), led by former Speaker Stéphane Valeri, won a resounding victory. It took 21 seats in the 24-member National Council and ousted the outgoing ruling party, Monaco Horizon (HM), led by Ms. Béatrice Fresko-Rolfo. On 22 February, the newly-elected National Council elected Mr. Valeri as its Speaker. Major electoral issues in 2018 included housing and pension reform. Primo! promised to establish an urgent plan to provide more housing and to protect civil servants' pension scheme.
