The Parliament of Myanmar, the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (Assembly of the Union), comprising the Pyithu Hluttaw (House of Representatives) and the Amyotha Hluttaw (House of Nationalities), had its most recent elections in November 2020.
The military staged a coup on 1 February 2021, the day on which the newly elected parliament was due to be sworn in. Consequently, there is currently no functioning parliament in Myanmar.
