Notes:

Members of the National Assembly enjoy immunity from arrest and criminal prosecution. However, this immunity may be lifted if a member is caught committing a crime punishable by more than five years' imprisonment. In all other cases, criminal proceedings require the authorization of the National Assembly.

The National Assembly's Mandate and Immunity Committee has 30 days to decide on authorization requests from competent state authorities.

It also retains the power to grant immunity to a member who has not claimed it or who has been apprehended for a crime punishable by at least five years' imprisonment.

Notes: MPs receive a monthly lump sum to cover the costs related to the performance of their office in their respective constituencies. The sum depends on the distance of the place of permanent residence from the seat of the National Assembly and amounts to EUR 500 to EUR 800. It is not an allowance, but rather a reimbursement of the expenses for work in the constituency, intended for visits, travel expenses on such visits, daily allowances, entertaining expenses when organising meetings with voters in the constituency, etc.

Pursuant to the Public Sector Salary System Act and the relevant act of the Commission for Public Office and Elections, MPs are classified in the following salary grades and receive the following monthly salaries:

- President of the National Assembly: 65th salary grade (EUR 5,419.54 gross),

- Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly and leaders of deputy groups with more than 20 members: 62nd salary grade (EUR 4,817 gross),

- leaders of deputy groups consisting of up to and including 20 members and chairs of parliamentary working bodies: 60th salary grade (EUR 4,454.47 gross);

- leaders of deputy groups: 57th salary grade (EUR 3,960.02 gross);

- deputy chairs of parliamentary working bodies: 56th salary grade (EUR 3,807.69 gross);

- other MPs without special functions in the National Assembly: 55th salary grade (EUR 3,661.25 gross)
