Notes
Legislated candidate quotas. For the approval of the electoral lists of candidates of political parties, of a coalition of cooperating parties and independent candidates, the number of candidates from each sex must be at least equal to 40% of the total number of their candidates, respectively, per electoral district. Any decimal number is rounded to the next integer if the fraction is equal to half the unit and more. This applies to local, national and European elections.
