Notes: Art. 61, Constitution: chamber sittings are public, subject to exceptions to be determined in accordance with the rules. Art. 43, Rules of the Chamber of Deputies: chamber sittings are public unless a majority of the members of Parliament decide otherwise. The chamber sits in closed session at the request of the Speaker or upon a written and signed request from five members. Unless the chamber decides otherwise, the secretary general, the deputy secretaries general and the administrative and technical staff required to ensure an effective meeting are authorized to remain in the room. Art. 169, Rules of the Chamber of Deputies: persons not engaged in official chamber business may enter the chamber for any reason. For the duration of the meeting, persons attending in the gallery must remain seated and silent. Signs of approval or disapproval are prohibited. Any individual causing a disruption to the proceedings shall be expelled from the gallery and handed to authorities as appropriate.

At the request of a committee, the Conference of Presidents can authorize the organization of public committee hearings.
